Excessive sweating is a common condition experienced by a large percentage of people worldwide. It is a clinical condition whereby some parts of the body sweat abnormally. Sweating is a natural occurrence and is useful to the body. However when it becomes excessive and uncontrollable, it is a sign of some imbalances in the body. This could explain why people are constantly looking for excessive sweating cure.

The causes of this condition may vary from one person to the other. One cause is a segment of the sympathetic nervous system. This is a part of the nervous system that is autonomous, meaning that the sufferer does not have control over it. This sympathetic segment affects heart rate, blood pressure and anxiety levels among other functions.

The body parts that are prone to this kind of sweating are particularly those with high concentration of sweat glands. These include hands, feet, armpits and private parts. These parts sweat profusely and uncontrollably in people suffering from this condition. Taking frequent showers, wiping the sweat, using deodorants or changing clothes does not seem to help much.

This can affect the sufferer negatively in both social, emotional and functional settings. One might suffer from low self-esteem and humiliation. It can affect the job and efficiency of the sufferer. It is also known to promote skin related infections and makes the body odor very unpleasant.

Today, there are various methods used to treat this condition. These methods include herbal medications, absorbent powders and various oral medications. Lotions and injections of botox have also been used. Most of these products can be bought over the counter or online. There is also a surgical method known as endoscopic thoracic surgery (ETS). This involves removal or destruction of part of the sympathetic nervous system. All these methods have varying degrees of success depending on the individual.

There are also some natural methods available for treating this problem. Being overweight can contribute to the problem. So, shedding off excess weight would be a step towards getting rid of this problem. Exercising regularly and changing the diet could help. It is advisable to eat lots of vegetables and fruits and avoid red meat and dairy products until the condition is controlled. Showering regularly and wearing light, cotton clothes may also help.

There are various excessive sweating cure available today. The method chosen may depend on the intensity of the problem and may vary from one person to another. Combining any of these methods with proper diet, exercising and appropriate dressing could be the first step towards curing this problem.
